Class - C1 - E

Its a U rating target audience. Young children who play with lego, because they enjoy playing with lego, so they would like to watch the movie too.

Parents who played with it when they were young because lego has been around for a long time, therefore, they would want their children to play/watch it too.

Young adult cinema goers because they enjoy the cinema, and might be curious if its any good, also for the nostalgia.

Both genders because lego is genderless, so everyone can enjoy it without being sexist.

Blumber and Katz (1972)

Personal relationships - Social utility of information in conversation; substitution of media for companionship.

Explain how the movie appeals to each part of the target audience.

Young kids who play with Lego

The Lego Movie appeals to children who play with lego because they like Lego, so they would play with Lego. It also appeals because playing with Lego can strengthen their creativity and show people what they can do with lego, therefore The Lego Movie appeals to the target audience of children who play with Lego.

Emmet and children may relate because Emmet is a construction worker with lego, children play with lego, therefore, they are both doing something they enjoy. Also, they both think, "Everything is awesome!"

Parents who played with it when they were young too

The Lego Movie appeals to parents who played with lego when they were younger because it brings back nostalgia of when they were younger and playing with lego, therefore they would go and see The Lego Movie.

Parents and vitruvius may relate because they want Emment (their children) to feel special

Young adult cinema-goers

The Lego Movie appeals to adult cinema-goers because they tend to enjoy going to the cinema a lot. They also may be curious if they did a good job on the movie considering its for children, also, the same reason for the adults who play with lego, they might also want to watch it for the nostalgia.

Both genders

The Lego Movie appeals to both genders because its got male elements, (action), and female elements, (love scenes and cloud cuckoo land), this makes all genders relate, therefore they enjoy it, appealing to he target audience.
