Masthead - 

The masthead "The Guardian" is in a bold text at the top of the website, showing that "The Guardian" is the one who is superior, giving us, the audience the information.

Colour Pallet - 

The colour pallet is in the primary colours (red, yellow and blue), showing that's a more formal magazine. 

Imagery - 

The imagery used on this website are images of politically orientated people such as Theresa May and Brexit. This is showing that a more of a mature and older audience would take interest in this as younger people tend not to be as much invested in politics. 

Typography -

The typography used on this website is in a black and red colours. They key topics are in red, which stimulates people to click on the red as the colour red represents power and it's vivid, which is naturally attractive to humans. Therefore, the audience is curious so they automatically click on the red before reading the rest of the title which is in black. 

Layout -

The layout of the articles are in rows, which is clearly organised which is easy for the audience to read and find what they're looking for. 

Lexis - 

The lexis used imperative verbs such as "furious" and "block snap". This shows the aggressive behaviour in this article.
